Magnum Hybrid, above a 61" gun with a reel. Also popular in 55" with titanium or carbon fiber barrel.
This is a cross between a Hybrid, which is a very maneuverable gun, and  and a Mahi with internal weights for stopping recoil.
This gun is capable of taking down big pelagic fish or fast reef or rig dwellers.

Middle Grounds Special (MGS) 57.5" Enclosed Track Speargun
The gun uses 5/16" shafts, 60" to 65" long and features the Alexander muzzle,
which allows multiple banding for more power and durability than wood muzzle models provide.
The red handle gun above is a mid-handle gun and the black handle gun is a rear handle plus. Both are chest loading guns.
Not pictured would be the rear handle model which favors hip loading. It would look like the rear handle plus gun,
but the mechanism would be right above the trigger, instead of back by the line release as it is in the two models above.

Florida Freeshafter 55" Reef Speargun with Variable Ballast & Enclosed Track
This gun uses 5/16" shafts, 60" to 65" long, and is a rear handle plus model, a chest loader, but it could be made as any of the 3 models.
It has the sleek reef gun stock and all wood muzzle which makes it a fast loader and a very maneuverable gun.
It features the Daryl's balanced internal weighting in two places, just in front of grip and about a foot in front of that.
The most unique feature is the clip weight that changes the gun from buoyant without it, for line gun and freedivers,
to always negative with the clip weight installed. It can be removed in seconds with one screw in the plastic handle.

 Daye Rest Tabs
Sheri Daye,
an accomplished spearfisher in pursuit of world record pelagic fish,
was using shaft rest tabs to assist loading her Wong Ono 63" speargun.
Being a mechanical engineer, she knew these welded on rest tabs weaken spears,
so she came up with a better idea, using a simple line anchor on the side of the gun instead.
Shown in the photo above, the new tab eliminates the weakness and the cost of welded tabs on spears.
